If you want to know why Wisconsin is ground zero for saving our republic right now, this video sums it up in the first few seconds. There are some protesters confronting some Tea Partiers. The protester asks the Tea Partier, “Why do you have a right to your money?”
Why do I have a right to my money?
Are you serious? What entitles anyone to claim they deserve what I have worked for? When we talk about values, unfortunately, the value of entitlement is becoming more prevalent.
If I work for someone else, the money that I earn is paid in exchange for the time I expend. That time is something I cannot get back and I have to decide if I will spend time with my family or if I will spend time away from them earning money. What gives anyone a right to claim my time?
This strange way of thinking that Michael Moore is presenting, that somehow the wealth belongs to “the people” is leading us to an insurmountable division. There is a group of people out there that believe they are entitled to something that is not theirs and they did not earn. And if you think that they won’t turn violent to get it, take a look at their rhetoric. This is coming to a head, folks, and they are not going down without a fight.
